All that's needed to be a hero for a child are the donations of toys or money, which can be dropped off at The Baxter Bulletin lobby, located at 16 W. 6th Street in Mountain Home. The lobby is open 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Friday hours vary according to staffing.

A single mom of a 5-year-old girl and a newborn girl works and is sometimes the only provider for her children. She said they have had some unforeseen circumstances in July of this year that turned their world upside down and have left them with the bare minimum. Mom is working hard to get them back on their feet, but it’s a slow process.

ABOUT ME: I am one of the happiest babies. Everyone comments on how I never cry and just love watching people.

ABOUT ME: I love princesses and doing make-up with my mommy. I like reading and playing with my sissy. I’m super special and love to draw and make things.

A single mother of four all live with her parents. She just started back to work with bills to catch up on. I’m afraid I will not be able to give my children a decent Christmas. My parents have overextended their budget to help us out, and is hoping, with the public’s help, her children can have a nice Christmas.

ABOUT ME: I was just born in August. I am just learning to roll over and hold my head up. When I get put on the floor to play, I’m very active.

A single mother of two wonderful kids is working two jobs trying to build a better life for her children. She is struggling to make ends meet. She adds she will be thankful for any help.

ABOUT ME: I love to play Barbies, with baby dolls and watching princess movies. I also love spending time outdoors with my brother. I love playing with LOL Dolls.

ABOUT ME: I love Pokémon, Beyblade and I love playing all sports. I love to be outside every chance I get.

A family of six is just barely making ends meet. The mom says raising four kids on their own has left no money to buy their kids Christmas presents.

ABOUT ME: I am almost two-years-old and I like toys that light up and make noise. I love to play with my brother’s cars and trucks. Also, I like to play with toy dinosaurs.

A single mom with four children goes to college full-time and works part-time. I am working towards a better future for my children and I would love nothing more than to see my children’s faces light up with happiness on Christmas morning, she said. She struggles to afford items they want/need as paychecks pay the bills and no extra. She does what she can, but at this point Christmas gifts are the furthest on her list of things to get. We would appreciate help.

ABOUT ME: I like to play video games and baseball. I am a car fanatic. I really like Bugatti and Lambourgini. I love hiking, going to the rivers, enjoying nature and finding nature’s treasures. My favorite pets are cats.

ABOUT ME: I love to draw and be creative. I love to play Minecraft. I love to read, especially graphic novels. I love to listen to all kinds of music the most. I love animals, especially wolves.

ABOUT ME: I love to play video games, especially Assassin's Creed. I love to coach younger kids in basketball. I love creating and listening to music. I struggle with social abilities as I am autistic, but I do love to help people. I tend to do activities alone or with my family.
